Flap & Jack

Flap & Jack Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 11, 2026
Last updated: October 11, 2026

Flap & Jack is published by Eatgent Software Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (incorporation number BC1563300) ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the Flap & Jack game for iPhone, and this website, handle information.

The short version: we collect nothing through the game. It has no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Your scores and settings stay on your iPhone. The game's only online feature is Apple's Game Center, which is optional. If you sign in to it, Apple handles your leaderboard scores.

1. Information we collect

None through the game. Flap & Jack does not send us any information about you, and we do not sell, share or receive any personal information through it.

The game contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code, no third-party code or services, and no server of ours to talk to. It does not ask for, and cannot use, your camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos. It does not use the device advertising identifier.

If you have chosen in your iPhone's Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us crash reports and aggregate usage statistics for Flap & Jack. Apple controls that sharing, and the reports do not identify you. We use them only to find and fix problems.

2. Information stored on your iPhone

The game saves a few small values on your iPhone so that it works the way you left it. They are kept in the game's own app storage. They consist only of:

  • your best scores for Solo, Co-op and Jack & Flap, and any best score still waiting to be sent to Game Center (section 3);
  • your settings: sound on or off, haptics on or off, and flight direction;
  • the mode you played last, and whether you have seen each how-to-play lesson;
  • how many runs you have played, and the version of the game you first installed;
  • a version number used to read the above safely in future releases.

None of this identifies you, and we cannot see it. Apart from the Game Center scores described in section 3, it never leaves your iPhone. Deleting Flap & Jack from your iPhone deletes it.

Device backups. If you back up your iPhone, to Apple's cloud or to a computer, the backup may include these values, the same way it does for other apps. You and Apple control those backups, under Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to them.

3. Game Center

Game Center is Apple's service for leaderboards. Signing in is optional, and the whole game works without it. The game never asks you to sign in when it starts.

  • If you are signed in, the game sends your best Solo, Co-op and Jack & Flap scores to Apple's Game Center leaderboards. Versus scores are never sent.
  • If you are signed out, nothing is sent. A new best is kept on your iPhone, and is sent if you sign in to Game Center later.
  • Who sees your score. The leaderboards are global. Apple shows your Game Center nickname, avatar and score to other Game Center players, as described in Apple's Game Center privacy notice.

Apple runs Game Center and handles this information under its own terms. See Apple's Game Center privacy notice and Apple's privacy policy. You can manage Game Center in the Settings app on your iPhone, and parents can limit Game Center features with the iPhone's parental controls. To ask Apple for a copy of your Apple data, or to delete it, use Apple's Data & Privacy page at privacy.apple.com.

We run no server, and we do not copy, store or use Game Center data. Like any Game Center player, we can see the public leaderboards.

4. Network use

Apart from Game Center, the game makes no network requests. You can play every mode offline.

In the game's Settings, Privacy Policy and Support open this website in your browser. Nothing is sent to us when you do that, beyond the normal web request described in section 5.

5. This website

The pages on flapandjack.eatgent.ai are plain static pages. They set no cookies and contain no analytics or advertising. Amazon Web Services (Amazon CloudFront) delivers them for us, and necessarily handles your IP address and browser details to do so. We have not switched on CloudFront access logs, so we keep no record of your visit.

6. If you email us

If you choose to contact flapandjack@eatgent.ai, we necessarily receive what you send us: your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message.

  • Purpose: only to answer you and to fix the problem you reported. We do not use support messages for marketing, and we do not sell or disclose them.
  • Retention: we keep support correspondence for 24 months and then delete it.
  • Where it is stored: our support mailbox runs on Amazon WorkMail (Amazon Web Services) in the us-east-1 region. Messages you send us are therefore stored on servers in the United States, where they may be accessible to US authorities under US law. If you would rather not have your message stored outside your country, please do not include sensitive details in it.

This support mailbox is the only place where we hold personal information related to Flap & Jack.

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to flapandjack@eatgent.ai. We will respond within 30 days. Because the game collects nothing, in practice this only concerns support email. We may need to confirm that you control the email address in question before acting on a request.

Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with PIPEDA and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. For support email, Eatgent Software Inc. is the controller. We process it because we have a legitimate interest in answering you and fixing the problem you reported. You have the rights to access, correct and delete it, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). Your email reaches us in Canada and is stored in the United States, as section 6 explains.

California. The CCPA/CPRA gives you rights to know, delete and correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. For clarity: we do not sell or share personal information, and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Through the game we collect no categories of personal information at all. If you email support, we collect identifiers (your email address) and electronic information (your message) for the support purpose described in section 6. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

8. Children

Flap & Jack is a game for a general audience. It is not in the App Store's Kids category and is not designed specifically for children under 13. The game collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, write to us and we will delete it.

9. Advertising

This version of Flap & Jack shows no ads and has no purchases. If a future version adds advertising, or anything else that collects information, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details before that version is released.

10. Security

Because Flap & Jack stores nothing off your iPhone, there is no central database of player data to breach. Values on your iPhone are protected by the iPhone's app sandboxing and by your device passcode and encryption. Support email is protected by our provider's access controls and by multi-factor authentication on our account.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how Flap & Jack handles information, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date above. Material changes will also be described in the game's release notes on the App Store.
